The AI Retail Sales Simulation is a unique, interactive tool designed to train real estate professionals through dynamic, AI-driven roleplay. Users engage with lifelike AI avatars simulating potential homebuyers—each with varying personalities, moods, and levels of difficulty. My goal was to design an intuitive and responsive interface that supports realistic sales scenarios, helping users refine their sales strategies, communication skills, and confidence.
Roles:
Product Designer (UI/UX)
Lead visual and interaction design
Developed user flow and screen layouts
Designed AI avatar interface and mood variations
Created responsive, high-fidelity prototypes in Figma
Conducted usability testing and iterative design updates
Real estate professionals often struggle to gain meaningful, hands-on experience when it comes to interacting with a wide range of buyer personalities. Traditional training methods—such as static scripts, mock scenarios, or classroom-based roleplays—rarely reflect the unpredictability and nuance of real-world client interactions. These formats often lack realism, emotional variability, and the depth needed to truly prepare agents for the field. Personalization is minimal, feedback is delayed or overly generalized, and learners miss the opportunity to adapt their communication style in real time. We saw an opportunity to bridge this gap by developing a simulation that not only mimics real buyer behavior but also evolves with the user’s choices—introducing dynamic moods, personality shifts, and contextual challenges. Our goal was to replicate the complexity of the human decision-making process in a safe, guided environment where users can refine their soft skills, experiment with sales strategies, and receive actionable feedback instantly.
Design a modular, scalable interface with clear communication tools
Create a visual system to reflect buyer "moods" (easy, neutral, difficult)
Ensure usability for both novice and experienced sales professionals
Develop an immersive, yet intuitive simulation experience
I started by mapping out user flows based on common real estate pitch scenarios. I then crafted an interface where the screen is split between the AI avatar (left) and interactive UI controls (right), including text prompts, response options, and property info cards.
Key Design Features:
Property Info Cards: One-click access to property highlights—location, price, amenities, etc.—via an “Info” button.
Buyer Mood Indicators: Subtle visual cues (facial expression, tone, color overlays) indicate AI persona mood shifts.
Settings Tab: Allows users to adjust avatar difficulty, view session history, or switch between practice modules.
Interaction Panel: Includes guided selling prompts, user response input, and session feedback tracking.
I used tools like Figma and UX Pilot to rapidly prototype and iterate on designs. During user testing, participants appreciated the realism of buyer responses and the simplicity of accessing property data mid-conversation.
Enhanced training realism by simulating emotional intelligence in buyer personas
Increased engagement in beta testing with 85% of users reporting improved communication skills
Flexible design system scalable to other sales industries or training platforms
Designing this AI simulation helped me blend visual storytelling, interaction design, and behavioral thinking. It was a rewarding challenge to turn a training concept into a usable, scalable tool that enhances human skill through AI support.
