Client: Unkown (2021)
A client approached me to design characters and create cover art for nine unique individuals they are pitching for a comic series. Each character possesses distinct powers that reflect their personalities and story arcs. This project allowed me to delve into character design deeply, ensuring that each design not only represented their special abilities but also resonated with the overarching theme of the comic.
This project marked my first significant undertaking after college and opened my eyes to the vast potential of freelance work within the social media landscape. It was an invaluable experience that helped me understand how to effectively market my skills and connect with clients in the creative industry. The opportunity to collaborate on this comic series not only honed my artistic abilities but also sparked a passion for storytelling through visual art.
Client: Funtology Fundamentals (2022)
A client approached me to design a cover and redesign her main character, Wurtle, for her children’s novel. This project presented an exciting opportunity to reinterpret an existing character while ensuring that the design aligned with the book's overall narrative. I aimed to capture Wurtle's essence in a way that would engage young readers and reflect the story's ambition.
In addition to the cover and Wurtle’s redesign, I was tasked with creating a diverse array of supporting characters, each representing different struggles within their own unique worlds. This aspect of the project allowed me to explore a variety of design styles and storytelling techniques. By developing characters that resonate with various experiences, I aimed to enhance the realism that she rewuested but still captured a imgativtive and child like asthetic for the childern.
